Premise

At 48, Elena Harper, a sharp-witted former Chicago litigator, is reeling from a soul-crushing divorce that has left her questioning every choice she's made since fleeing the misty Appalachian hollows of Raven’s Gap three decades ago. Haunted by the abrupt end to her first love and a lifetime of unfulfilled longing, she loads her SUV with the remnants of her city life and drives into the Smoky Mountains, inheriting her late aunt’s crumbling Wisteria Inn—a wild, overgrown testament to the roots she abandoned. As her car sputters to a halt in the town square at dusk, she’s rescued by Harlan Crowe, the silver-streaked woodworker whose familiar touch ignites a static jolt straight back to their stolen summer of 1995. When a trove of unsent love letters and a hidden ledger reveal a generations-old family feud and blackmail that tore them apart, Elena and Harlan’s rekindled passion clashes with Harlan’s corrupt deputy brother and greedy developers scheming to condemn the Inn for a commercial land grab. With the fate of Raven’s Gap’s soulful ridges hanging in the balance—threatening to erase Elena’s legacy and bury their second chance beneath corporate sprawl—they must unearth buried truths and restore the Inn together, forging a path from midlife regret and fractured trust to unbreakable partnership in this heartfelt tale of karmic Appalachian romance.
