Premise

Amanda Lewis, a sharp-witted archivist haunted by the abrupt end to her youthful romance with local quarry hauler Daniel Foster a decade ago, returns to the fog-shrouded ironworks ruins in Smoky Summit, Appalachia—once owned by her family. Scarred by her father's abandonment and her own flight from small-town roots, Amanda arrives amid a strange metallic haze to assess the decaying site for sale, determined to sever ties to her painful past without confronting the man whose heart she broke. When ruthless developer Richard Sanders schemes to bulldoze the ironworks for luxury condos, Amanda and Daniel forge an uneasy alliance to unravel the century-old mystery of vanished ironworkers hinted at in hidden ledgers and eerie artifacts, risking everything to preserve the site's haunted legacy. Amid rising dangers—from collapsing tunnels to ghostly furnace roars—their simmering second-chance passion reignites, promising a heart-stirring journey from guarded strangers to soul-bound lovers who must confront buried secrets to claim a future forged in fire.
