The House in the Pines

When historian Maya arrives at the remote lodge deep in the Black Forest, she expects only silence and solitude. Instead, she finds a house that feels as though it has been waiting for her. Dust-covered rooms, old journals scrawled with frantic warnings, and a locked door the enigmatic groundskeeper refuses to discuss all suggest the lodge guards secrets far darker than local superstition.

The groundskeeper, haunted and guarded, warns her to leave before nightfall. Yet as strange footsteps echo through the halls and the forest itself seems to shift around her, Maya is drawn deeper into the lodge’s tragic past—and to the man who carries its burden.
