Premise

At 48, Elena Harper, a sharp-witted former Chicago litigator, is adrift in the wreckage of a passionless divorce, haunted by the youthful love she abandoned three decades ago in the misty hollows of Raven’s Gap, Appalachia. Craving roots after years of corporate battles that left her emotionally hollow, she loads her SUV with the remnants of her city life and drives into the Smoky Mountains to claim the crumbling Wisteria Inn, inherited from her late aunt—a wild, overgrown sanctuary echoing her fractured past. When her car stalls in the town square and a static shock from a familiar pair of callused hands reignites buried memories, Elena collides with Harlan Crowe, the silver-streaked woodworker who was once her everything, now bound by family secrets and a town scheming to seize her land for greedy development. With the inn’s fate—and Raven’s Gap itself—hanging in the balance against corrupt officials and corporate predators, Elena must wield her legal savvy and rediscover her heart’s fire, promising a steamy second-chance romance where midlife redemption blooms amid wisteria vines, forging unbreakable bonds from the ashes of old wounds.
