Premise
Nora Bennett, a restless traveling archivist scarred by the childhood loss of her family's Appalachian homestead, arrives in the mist-shrouded town of Ashford Glen to evaluate a long-abandoned textile mill for historical preservation. Drawn to the echoing looms and faded ledgers that whisper of forgotten lives, she collides with Jacob Hayes, the mill's stoic mechanic whose own heart aches from watching his great-grandmother's weaving legacy crumble alongside his fractured dreams of family and home. As Nora steps onto a rusted catwalk, Jacob's quick save ignites a spark of connection amid the dust and decay, pulling her into a world she's always run from—roots that run deep. When ruthless developer Richard Monroe descends with plans to raze the mill for an industrial park, Nora and Jacob must unearth hidden artifacts, rally skeptical locals, and confront ghostly echoes of the past to save Ashford Glen's soul. With the town's heritage—and their fragile trust—hanging by a thread, they race against bulldozers and buried secrets, promising a tender romance woven with mystery and magic, where two wanderers learn that mending the old can heal the heart's deepest rifts.
