Premise

At 46, Elena Harper, a battle-hardened Chicago corporate lawyer fresh from a bitter divorce, returns to the mist-shrouded hollows of Raven’s Gap in the Appalachian Mountains to reclaim her late grandmother’s crumbling estate, the Wisteria Inn. Scarred by decades of high-stakes boardrooms that left her emotionally hollow and haunted by the abrupt family exile that tore her from her first love thirty years ago, Elena arrives seeking solitude in renovation, only to confront a town that still seethes with resentment over her family’s supposed role in the 1995 sawmill collapse. When her SUV stalls in the town square, silver-haired mechanic Harlan Crowe—her teenage sweetheart, now a rugged blacksmith guarding secrets of his own—offers a hand that reignites buried sparks, pulling her into a web of forged deeds, blackmail, and corporate mining threats aimed at swallowing the valley whole. With the Inn’s fate, Harlan’s fractured family legacy, and the town’s very soul hanging in the balance, Elena must wield her legal prowess against old ghosts and new adversaries in this heartfelt second-chance romance, where mountain fog conceals both danger and the raw vulnerability needed to rebuild a love—and a home—strong enough to endure the ridges.
