Shells and Second Looks
Stephanie Miller has spent years hiding behind the quiet shelves of her Atlanta library, content to let life pass her by in orderly silence. A weekend collecting shells along the sun-washed shores of Gulf Shores is supposed to be nothing more than a brief escape—until she meets a photographer who sees her in ways no one ever has.
Through his lens, the woman she thought was invisible becomes someone worth noticing. Each candid shot chips away at the walls she’s built, revealing a spark of courage she didn’t know she possessed. What begins as a simple weekend of sand and solitude slowly turns into something far more intimate.
As the sun sets over the Gulf and the shells pile up in her pockets, Stephanie must decide whether to retreat back to her familiar, muted life or step fully into the light he’s shown her. One photographer’s patient gaze may be all it takes to change everything.
A tender, slow-burn beach romance about being truly seen for the first time and finding the courage to stop hiding.
