Captain Jaxon and storm-senser Aria thought surviving the core had prepared them for anything. They were wrong. As the Stormfire battles shifting gravity, sky-beasts, and collapsing fractures, Aria’s growing power both saves the crew and drives a wedge between her and Jaxon. When a forgotten tower rises from the maelstrom and its guardian demands she remain as its eternal keeper, Aria must choose between the destiny written in stormlight and the life—and love—she refuses to surrender.
