Premise

Laura Bennett, a determined traveling teacher haunted by the failure of her last posting where she couldn't save a struggling school from closure, arrives in the remote Appalachian hamlet of Timberline to breathe new life into its long-shuttered one-room schoolhouse. Ryan Cooper, a rugged logging scout scarred by the loss of his family's timber legacy to corporate buyouts, patrols the frosted ridges above Smoky Summit, guarding the mountain's fading heritage against modern encroachment. As Laura steps off the supply truck into the biting wind from nearby Alder Run, their worlds collide when Ryan pulls her back from a treacherous footbridge, igniting an unexpected spark amid the isolation of the snowbound peaks. When county supervisor Richard Adams descends with orders to condemn the schoolhouse for a new road, Laura and Ryan uncover eerie relics—a vanished teacher's brooch, phantom echoes of children's laughter, and diaries hinting at a century-old tragedy—forcing them into a perilous quest along forgotten trails. With the community's soul and their budding passion on the line, they race against demolition crews and unstable ridges to unearth the truth, promising a heartfelt romance woven with ghostly mystery, where healing old wounds demands risking everything for a shared future in the timeless embrace of the Appalachians.
