Description
Elena Voss returns to Silver Gull Shores in her late forties, determined to break a twenty-year creative drought. Once inspired by the shifting coastal dunes, the renowned sculptor now faces blank pages and buried memories of the man who broke her heart. When the mayor commissions a centerpiece sculpture for the town festival, Elena sees her chance to reclaim her voice through the sands she once loved.
Marcus Hale, the local environmental steward, is assigned to guide her through strict dune preservation rules. Their daily walks across the ridges force them to confront the past they both tried to outrun. As a greedy developer threatens to turn the fragile coastline into luxury condos, Elena and Marcus must work together to protect the land that shaped them.
Old longings surface with every sketch and prototype. A sandstorm, a collapsing dune, and whispered town gossip push them closer while both fear repeating old mistakes. Elena questions whether her art can survive emotion; Marcus wonders if he’s asking too much of the woman he never stopped loving.
Together they redesign the sculpture to stand for resilience itself. As the festival approaches and the developer’s claim escalates, Elena and Marcus must decide whether guarding their hearts is worth losing the second chance the dunes have given them.
A tender story of late-blooming love, artistic rebirth, and the courage to sculpt a future on shifting ground.
