In 2036, the world’s synchronized epoch network begins to fracture. Mathematician Michael Johnson detects a catastrophic anomaly spreading through global timing systems, while cybersecurity commander Angela Davis receives fragmented reports of cascading failures. What begins as isolated outages soon threatens permanent digital collapse.

Assigned to assess the crisis together, Michael and Angela must bridge their different approaches—one grounded in mathematical precision, the other in tactical command. Their uneasy alliance is tested as they uncover corrupted predictive models, a rogue algorithm accelerating the breakdown, and evidence that the failures may have been deliberately engineered. Every hour brings new blackouts, transit failures, and structural collapses at critical restoration hubs.

Racing from a failing command center to an unstable central facility and finally to a hidden bunker, they confront both the technical and human dimensions of the disaster. Along the way they must stabilize power systems, trace the saboteur’s digital signature, and prevent a final overflow spike from erasing the epoch network entirely. Their survival depends on split-second decisions and the fragile trust they build under pressure.

When the last reboot sequence succeeds, the network begins restoring itself node by node. Yet the experience leaves both Michael and Angela changed—aware that the systems they protect are only as strong as the people who defend them. In the quiet aftermath, they step into a recovering world with renewed purpose and a deeper understanding of what it takes to keep time itself from breaking.

1 review for Epoch 2036

Epoch 2036 completely wrecked my sleep schedule. Watching the mathematician and the cybersecurity commander scramble to stitch reality back together felt way too close to real life, and I loved how the series history kept feeding new stakes without rehashing old ground. I’m already checking the author’s updates for the next one because this book just made the timeline mess feel personal.
