Description
Stoic farmer Caleb Jenkins tends the ancient fields of his family’s land in Oakhaven, holding fast to generations of tradition even as yields fade and signs of sabotage mount. Damaged fences, unlatched gates, and a mysterious scrap of fabric appear without explanation, while rumors spread that developers are circling the valley’s open acres.
Strange noises drift through the dusk, stirring memories of his father Elias and the weight of solitude that has defined Caleb’s days. Each plowing ritual and evening vigil deepens his isolation, yet the land itself feels increasingly unsettled.
Into this tension arrives an enigmatic stranger whose presence cracks Caleb’s resolve and sparks a tentative romance. Together they confront the mounting threats to the fields and the deeper forces that may decide whether the Jenkins legacy survives.
Rooted in the rhythms of rural life, the story builds toward a reckoning that tests Caleb’s unyielding commitment to his land and the fragile hope of connection that has finally reached him.
