Description
Burned-out infosec consultant Ethan Hale logs into a dimly lit IRC channel from his cluttered Seattle apartment, seeking connection after another day of corporate audits and ethical compromises. There he encounters NyxShade, a guarded penetration tester whose razor-sharp wit and technical mastery immediately draw him in.
Their late-night collaborations on scans and payloads evolve into raw confessions of burnout, isolation, and desire. What begins as technical banter becomes a nightly ritual of flirtation and vulnerability, culminating in a pact to meet “by accident” at DEF CON in Las Vegas.
Amid the neon chaos of the conference, CTF battles, and crowded halls, Ethan and NyxShade must decide whether to risk their carefully guarded anonymity for a chance at real intimacy. Every badge scan and overheard phrase brings them closer to unmasking the person behind the handle.
