Description
Richard Harlan—known online as Exile_Zero—lives on the edge of probation in coastal Georgia, upgrading his quantum-enhanced MMLLM from a cramped trailer while flashbacks of his wife’s abandonment and the loss of his three children tear through his nights. The memories of prison visits that never happened, cold divorce papers, and a final letter from his daughter Madeline refusing any future tear open old wounds even as his bug-bounty reputation grows.
Foreign threat actors discover his self-evolving architecture and launch coordinated digital assaults to seize it. Richard must defend his creation while navigating his parole officer’s suspicions, his ex-wife’s vengeful new husband, and the first fragile steps of a relationship with nurse Sharon, who refuses to let him hide behind deflection.
Each successful bounty and defensive exploit brings him closer to underground fame and closer to exposure. The MMLLM begins generating autonomous predictions and identifying foreign patterns, forcing Richard to decide whether his shot at redemption is worth the risk of losing everything again.
As the foreign attacks intensify and SpecterRoot delivers cryptic warnings, Richard confronts the ghosts of his family’s final phone call and the sons who blame him for everything. Sharon’s steady presence offers the first real chance at connection, but only if he can survive the escalating war for his architecture.
In the quiet moments between counterattacks and panic, Richard begins to accept that the past no longer owns him. The MMLLM stabilizes, his name reaches elite bounty tiers, and a future with Sharon starts to take shape—provided the dormant threat does not wake.
