Description
Melissa Miller returns to Seabreeze Circle to settle her parents’ estate, expecting only dust, boxes, and legal paperwork. Instead she finds a locked mahogany desk, her mother’s hidden journals, and James Davis—a silver-streaked historian who believes a portion of the Miller land was taken from his family generations ago.
Their initial clash over records and maps forces an uneasy partnership. Late-night research in the library, a sudden rainstorm, and the discovery of an unfinished letter from Melissa’s father begin to blur the line between adversary and ally. As the past surfaces, Melissa must decide whether to protect her inheritance or honor the debt her family never repaid.
When a developer threatens the historic site, Melissa and James work together to create a Heritage Preserve. Their shared mission deepens into something neither expected: quiet mornings at the boundary stones, evenings on the porch, and a love strong enough to heal old wounds.
In the end, Melissa stops managing other people’s estates and claims the life—and the home—she was meant to have. Seabreeze Circle welcomes her back, not as a visitor, but as someone who finally belongs.
