Sweet Tea After Dark

Description

A violent thunderstorm strikes Sweetgum Ridge, knocking out power across the entire town and leaving residents in total darkness. Jennifer must secure the Sweet Tea Stand while chaos builds, only to hear a struggle and muffled shout from the alley behind her stand.

With flashlights cutting through the rain, Jennifer and Sheriff Michael Brooks discover clues including industrial master keys and reports of a figure in a yellow raincoat. The blackout mirrors a 1992 heist, and Wendy Price, the town electrician, is found tied up at the substation as Marcus Young appears linked to the grid tampering.

Jennifer tracks the sabotage through the town’s layout, leading to the communication tower where a signal interceptor threatens the bank’s digital reserves during the power restoration. She and Michael navigate an old drainage tunnel to reach the bank basement, confronting an accomplice and stopping the vault breach amid rising water.

The pursuit ends at the old mill, where the mastermind’s plan to drain the town’s funds is foiled. As the lights return, Jennifer helps secure the evidence and restore safety before panic can spread through Sweetgum Ridge.

The community celebrates with Tina’s blackout brownies and Shawn’s tactical assistance, while Michael and Jennifer share a long-delayed moment together under the restored lights.
