Description
Grace Holloway arrives in Magnolia Ridge with her daughter Lily and a single plan: restore the crumbling Magnolia Ridge Inn, sell it quickly, and build a stable life far from the wounds of her past. Instead she finds a property in far worse condition than expected and the only available contractor is Jonah Mercer, a quiet carpenter whose humor masks his own loneliness.
As Grace and Jonah work side by side, they clash over budgets, priorities, and the inn’s hidden history. Old letters and journals surface family secrets that pull Grace deeper into the town she once planned to leave. Jonah’s steady presence begins to ease Lily’s fears, even as Grace’s ex resurfaces with a custody threat that threatens everything she is trying to protect.
Late nights, small-town skepticism, and unexpected moments of laughter draw Grace and Jonah closer. When a section of the inn collapses and the custody battle intensifies, Grace must decide whether to keep her heart guarded or trust the man who refuses to walk away.
With the community rallying and the inn nearing completion, Grace faces her ex in mediation. The choices she makes will determine whether Magnolia Ridge becomes just another project or the home she and Lily have been searching for.
