Description
Childhood friends Timothy Clark and Julie Robinson arrive in Destin for a mutual friend’s wedding, the first time they have seen each other since a painful misunderstanding three years earlier. To shield themselves from family questions, Julie impulsively claims they are back together, and Timothy agrees to play along for the weekend.
A booking error forces them to share a harbor-view suite, and every public appearance as a couple makes the old familiarity impossible to ignore. Timothy suggests escaping the wedding chaos with a day at a private sandbar, where they finally confront the missed letter, third-party interference, and the truth that neither of them ever moved on.
Stranded by rising tide and a dead boat battery, the pair must work together to signal for help. The shared adrenaline and forced honesty strip away the last barriers, turning their fake pact into something neither can deny. Back at the resort, family revelations and a rehearsal-dinner toast push them toward the conversation they have avoided for three years.
By the wedding’s end, Julie and Timothy choose the life they once lost. They decide to build their future on the same stretch of emerald water where a weekend pretense became the most honest promise they ever made.
